About the Role: The Account Executive is based in London, reports to the Senior Director, Retail Partnerships, and is a key member of the EMEA Commercial team. The primary focus of this role is to acquire new merchant partnerships while also managing and growing a portfolio of existing merchant clients, ensuring they fully utilize Connexity services and platform to drive revenue growth in the Italian and UK markets. This role is ideal for an entry-level sales-driven, strategic thinker who wishes to build their career in sales, make an impact, excels at relationship management, and performance marketing.
Responsibilities
- Book of Business Expansion and Sales Growth
- Identify, engage, and acquire new merchant partnerships across key markets.
- Build a strong pipeline of top-tier retailers and brands looking to scale their performance marketing efforts.
- Successfully evangelize Connexity as a high-value traffic and sales driver for merchants.
- Negotiate and close new contracts with merchants, securing long-term partnerships.
- Upsell and cross-sell Connexity full suite of solutions to maximize merchant ROI.
- Own and grow a portfolio of merchant clients, ensuring they maximize their use of Connexity and Skimlinks' services.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key merchants across the Italian and UK markets.
- Work closely with merchants to optimize their commerce strategies, increasing revenue through data-driven recommendations.
- Educate merchants on best practices in affiliate and performance marketing, helping them improve conversion rates and sales.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with top merchants to analyze performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Regularly analyze key performance metrics (conversion rates, cost of sale, revenue per session, etc.) to identify trends and optimize results.
- Work closely with internal teams (Operations, Product, and Account Management) to ensure seamless onboarding, execution, and support for merchants.
- Utilize Salesforce and internal dashboards to track progress, analyze performance, and develop strategic plans.
- Represent Connexity at industry events and conferences, building relationships with prospective and existing merchant partners.
Minimum Requirements:
- 1+ years of sales and account management experience, preferably in e-commerce, digital advertising, affiliate marketing, or performance marketing.
- Fluent in both written and spoken Italian and English.
- Passion for sales and client relationship management, with a consultative and strategic approach.
- Good understanding of CPC and CPA cost models and key merchant KPIs (ROAS, conversion rates, cost of sale, etc.).
- Ability to negotiate, influence, and close deals in a structured sales environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—you can build rapport with merchants at all levels.
- Results-driven, self-motivated, and adaptable in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.
- Strong analytical skills—comfortable working with data and performance metrics to drive decision-making.
- Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and other CRM tools is a plus.
