This role

We are looking for a strategic and experienced Head of Supported Housing to lead the operational delivery and development of our national supported housing services. This is a leadership role with accountability for a large, geographically dispersed portfolio, overseeing specialist housing management services and supporting customers with a wide range of needs including homelessness, mental health, learning disabilities and asylum seekers/refugees. You will shape and deliver strategic plans, ensuring services are high-quality, compliant and customer-focused, while driving performance across key customer, colleague, commercial and compliance metrics.

  • Leading a large team to deliver consistently high-performing services
  • Driving delivery against KPIs, quality standards and regulatory frameworks
  • Shaping strategic direction and contributing to wider MTVH Support and Customer Services priorities
  • Contributing to a programme of investment in supported housing and development of new schemes
  • Leading service improvement, innovation and the development of new business opportunities
  • Acting as senior representative with commissioners, funders and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring strong customer engagement, including co-design approaches to service delivery
  • Overseeing customer satisfaction, audit outcomes and continuous improvement
  • Providing sector leadership, maintaining expertise in supported housing policy and practice

What You'll Need To Succeed:

  • Extensive senior leadership experience in supported housing, including services such as homelessness, mental health, learning disabilities or refugee/migrant support
  • Proven experience managing large, dispersed teams and delivering strong operational performance
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and delivering value for money
  • Demonstrable experience developing business cases and driving service growth and innovation
  • Experience working with commissioners and funders across housing, health and social care
  • Strong understanding of supported housing policy, regulation and best practice
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, including experience presenting at senior leadership or Board level
  • Ability to build inclusive, high-performing teams and lead through change
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and delivering safe, high-quality services
