Our client, a global retail brand, is looking for an experienced EDI Operations Manager to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of EDI operations across Europe, supporting key systems and ensuring seamless data communication with internal and external partners. The role is remote with a requirement to get to St Albans if needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first and second level technical support for EDI systems across Europe
- Act as the primary point of contact for EDI-related queries from customers and resellers
- Manage relationships with third-party EDI provider and coordinate resolution of transaction issues
- Collaborate with internal teams including Customer Service, Compliance, and Distribution to implement and support EDI integrations
- Onboard new customers to the EDI platform and manage testing of EDI transactions
- Identify and resolve data communication issues, driving continuous improvements
- Support system automation projects to reduce processing time and improve efficiency
- Coordinate and deploy new and existing EDI transaction sets
What we're looking for:
- Solid experience with SQL queries and relational databases
- Deep knowledge of EDIFACT and EDI mapping standards (including VICS, XML)
- Experience with EDI translators, preferably TLE and BizLink
- Hands-on knowledge of OpenText EDI platform is desirable
- Understanding of communication protocols such as FTP, AS2, HTTP, TCP/IP
- Background in retail, manufacturing or logistics industries
- Strong customer service, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Exposure to UNIX/Linux or Windows operating systems
- Fluent in English with additional languages such as German or Spanish considered an advantage
