Connex Education is working in partnership with a welcoming Primary School in the Warrington area to recruit an experienced KS1 Teacher for a maternity cover post in a Y1 class. This role will run from after February half term until the end of the academic year on a full-time basis.

The role will involve planning responsibilities; and you will be expected to carry out other classroom duties, including supporting children’s learning and development, maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment, assessing pupils’ progress, and contributing to the wider classroom routine in line with the KS1 curriculum.

The school is known for its inclusive, child-centred ethos and staff work collaboratively to ensure children are supported academically, socially, and emotionally during their first years of school. The school is seeking a committed and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher who can quickly build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

This maternity cover role will begin after February half term and continue until the end of the academic year. The position is full-time and is a long-term assignment paid to scale.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience working in KS1
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
