Connex Education are looking for Exam Invigilators to oversee exams at our secondary schools located in Teesside and surrounding areas. This is an ideal role if you are looking for part-time work with flexibility.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting up exam halls by laying out stationery, equipment, and exam papers according to seating plans
- Welcoming students into the exam hall and directing them to their seats
- Ensuring a quiet and disruption-free environment for students taking exams
- Supervising students during exams
- Dealing with any student queries or issues that may arise during exams
- Collecting exam scripts and ensuring they are handed over securely after each exam
- Checking attendance and documenting any absent students
- Keeping accurate records of timings
Requirements:
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to follow procedures and instructions
- Friendly and approachable with good communication skills
- Ability to stay calm and resolve issues under pressure
- Flexibility to work varying hours Monday – Friday during exam periods
- Reliable and punctual
- Grade A – C in Maths & English
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
- Ideally hold a UK driving license due to locations of schools
