Connex Education is seeking enthusiastic, adaptable, and energetic primary supply teachers to provide part-time and full-time cover in primary schools around Southport. Connex Education have seen a significant surge in demand for teachers across all year groups and we will have a range of supply teaching that will suit your availability. The role will suit qualified teachers who are seeking part-time/full-time opportunities and will most certainly suit ECTs who are looking to gain experience working in various primary schools or secure their first full-time job.
About the Schools:
Connex Education work in partnership with 12 primary schools in Southport who are regularly seeking teaching cover across various year groups. The schools are in an ideal location for staff travelling from anywhere in the Sefton area.
About the supply role:
Most of our primary supply teaching bookings are advance bookings, with some bookings being early morning calls for on-the-day sickness cover. Historically, March and April are our busiest months, and we will have a choice of supply teaching bookings available.
The following are the type of bookings that will be available for you:
- PPA cover for full days and half-days.
- Daily sickness and course cover.
- Part-time job-share bookings.
- Full-time teaching bookings to cover sickness, maternity etc.
- Termly bookings to support ECT induction.
- SATS intervention roles.
- Phonics intervention roles.

Qualifications and requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status or awaiting QTS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience teaching in primary schools or on placements.
- DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through us.
- Ability to provide 2 references.
