About the Role

Connex Education is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Teaching Assistants to join our agency for the new term, working across the North Liverpool area. We are working in partnership with fantastic local primary schools looking for support staff to join their dedicated teams across Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2). You will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff and have access to ongoing professional development through Connex Education.

Assignment Details

  • Positions available on a full-time or part-time basis, starting in January.
  • Flexibility to choose your working days.
  • Roles are initially temporary, with the potential for permanent placement.

Person Specification

  • A Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will also be considered.
  • GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both) or equivalent Level 2.
  • Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
  • Builds positive, supportive relationships with pupils and staff to support teaching & learning.
  • Upholds high standards of professional behaviour, presentation, and integrity.
  • Committed to maintaining consistency in learning and behaviour expectations.
  • Open to professional development and constructive feedback.
  • Demonstrates strong literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Works collaboratively within classroom routines, showing initiative and professionalism.
  • Adapts to pupils’ varying needs and supports inclusion.
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy, and consistency when supporting pupils of varying needs and abilities.
