About the role:
Connex Education are working with a SEND School in Sefton who are looking for a Teacher to cover a long term absence. The class caters for KS3 pupils with SEMH, Autism and ADHD.

This brilliant SEND School provides a caring, supportive environment that meets the complex needs of the pupils. They cater for pupils 5-16 years that have a statement of special education needs. They pride themselves on a creative curriculum to give pupils the best opportunities. As a SEND Teacher at this school, you will have fantastic support from class TA’s who will assist in managing behaviour and providing pastoral care to all pupils.
Assignment details:
This role will commence asap, this is a full time role. The hours consist of working 8.00am-3.30pm and you will receive planning time. This role will last for the remainder of the academic year and there is a chance of a direct contract.

- Experience of teaching pupils with complex needs including ASC and SEMH
- Be able to manage behaviour and foster a positive learning environment
- Be adaptable and able to quickly build a trusting relationship with pupils
- Able to work well as a team with TA’s
- Able to communicate well and be patient
- Be familiar with EHCP’S, assessing and setting targets
- Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
