Connex Education are working with a SEND School in Knowsley who are looking for a full-time PPA cover to cover a range of classes throughout the School. The School caters for pupils aged 2-19 years with SLD, ASC, PMLD, sensory and complex needs.

This School has fantastic facilities that foster a child-centered approach promoting individual achievements and independence. All staff support pupils into adulthood, working closely with parents and adopting a multi-agency approach with nurses, therapists, social workers and positive behaviour teams. As a PPA cover teacher at this School, you will receive planning time and support from teachers and TAs.

Assignment details:

  • This role will commence ASAP, this is a full-time role.
  • The hours consist of working 8.30am-3.30pm.
  • This role will last for the remainder of the academic year and there is a chance of a direct contract.

  • Experience of teaching pupils with complex needs
  • Be able to manage behaviour and foster a positive learning environment
  • Be adaptable and able to quickly build a trusting relationship with pupils
  • Able to work well as a team with TAs
  • Able to communicate well and be patient
  • Be familiar with EHCPs, assessing and setting targets
  • Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
