Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to encourage participation.
  • Assist in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Promote positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing.
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.

Person Specification

Minimum 6 months’ experience working with children or young people is essential.

  • Experience within a school, childcare, youth work, coaching, tutoring, or care setting is beneficial.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, adaptable, and professional approach.
  • Passion for supporting children to achieve their best.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through Connex Education.
  • Right to work in the UK.
