About the role: As a Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, engaging, and well-structured curriculum in line with the National Curriculum, with a strong focus on early literacy, phonics, numeracy, and foundational skills. You will plan and deliver lessons tailored to the needs of young learners, create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment, and use effective behaviour-management strategies to support positive learning behaviours. Key responsibilities also include assessing and tracking pupil progress, using this information to inform planning and provide targeted support, and ensuring all pupils are able to achieve their full potential. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents to support pupil development and wellbeing, while contributing to wider school life, adhering to safeguarding procedures, and maintaining high professional standards at all times.
