Connex Education is working in partnership with a welcoming Primary School in the Warrington area to recruit an experienced KS1 Teacher for a maternity cover post in a Y1 class. This role will run from after February half term until the end of the academic year on a full‑time basis.
The role will involve planning responsibilities and you will be expected to carry out other classroom duties, including:
- Supporting children’s learning and development
- Maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Assessing pupils’ progress
- Contributing to the wider classroom routine in line with the KS1 curriculum
The school is known for its inclusive, child‑centred ethos and staff work collaboratively to ensure children are supported academically, socially, and emotionally during their first years of school. The school is seeking a committed and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher who can quickly build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

- Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum

- Good behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
- Knowledge of early phonics and reading approaches such as Read Write Inc or Letters and Sounds
