About the Role
Connex Education is recruiting passionate ECTs and experienced PE Teachers for opportunities starting in September 2026. We are supporting a number of inclusive secondary schools across Bristol, with roles available on both short-term and long-term bases. This is an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic PE teachers looking to further their career within supportive school environments that value high-quality teaching, inclusion and pupil achievement.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and inspiring PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Teach a broad PE curriculum, including practical activities, fitness and team sports
- Adapt teaching and learning activities to support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
- Create a positive and purposeful learning environment that promotes teamwork, resilience and good behaviour
- Use effective coaching, demonstrations and differentiated activities to make PE lessons accessible and engaging
- Assess progress, provide constructive feedback and support pupil development in PE
- Build positive working relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues to promote learning and wellbeing
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, although strong secondary teaching experience in PE will also be considered
- A passionate and engaging teaching style with confidence in delivering PE lessons
- Strong subject knowledge across the PE curriculum
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion within the classroom
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through Connex Education
