We are looking for a compassionate, resilient and motivated Pastoral Support Assistant / Behaviour Mentor to join our specialist educational setting. Our school supports children and young people aged 7–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing a safe, structured and nurturing environment where every pupil is encouraged to succeed. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building positive relationships, supporting emotional wellbeing and helping young people overcome barriers to learning.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEMH, SEND or behavioural support.
  • Be calm, patient and confident managing challenging behaviour.
  • Build positive relationships and act as a consistent role model.
  • Support pupils' behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation in and out of the classroom.
  • Work effectively with colleagues, families and external professionals.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
