About the role
Connex Education are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work across a variety of primary schools in Weston-Super-Mare. We have opportunities available on a day-to-day supply basis, as well as short-term and long-term placements starting from September 2026. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils to access learning and reach their full potential. You may support children on a one-to-one basis, work with small groups and create a supportive learning environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning, development, and well-being in a positive classroom environment.

Person Specification
- Experience working with children aged 4–11 in a UK primary school setting
- Good communication and behaviour management skills
- Understanding of classroom routines and the primary curriculum
- Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc. is desirable
- Organised, adaptable and enthusiastic
- Must hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
