About the Role
Connex Education is currently recruiting a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Weston-super-Mare from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and engage young learners within a supportive and inclusive school environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, creating engaging lessons and fostering a positive classroom culture where every child can achieve their full potential. What You’ll Be Doing
- Planning and delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
- Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
- Assessing, monitoring and supporting pupil progress to ensure every child reaches their potential
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and school leaders
- Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and carers
- Promoting high standards of behaviour, wellbeing and achievement

What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within a primary school setting, ideally in Key Stage 1
- Applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly welcomed
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A creative, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to teaching
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Connex Education
