Connex Education is working with a popular Secondary School in Stockton on Tees who are recruiting for a Humanities Teacher to work full-time.

The school is very popular within Redcar and are currently looking for someone who shares their passion for education to carry out Humanities lessons for key stages 3 and 4. The school offers a friendly atmosphere with a motivated team of teachers focused on student progress. They are looking for a Humanities Teacher who is hard working, resilient and who wants to make a difference to pupils' education. The right candidate will be able to confidently step into the department and continue teaching the existing schemes of work.

Assignment Details

This role will commence asap and will last for the remainder of the academic year.

Person Specification

  • Must be 21 and over.
  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) PGCE in Humanities or related subject from a recognized provider.
  • You must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
  • Have experience teaching Humanities in a UK secondary school setting.
  • Be able to plan and deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 Humanities lessons across ability ranges.
  • Be passionate about instilling a love of Humanities.
  • Have excellent behaviour management and classroom control skills.
