Hours: Full time 8:30am – 3:30pm

Salary: Up to £110 dependant on experience

Are you a passionate and skilled Teaching Assistant with a current Team Teach qualification? Connex Education is seeking a committed SEND 1-1 Teaching Assistant for a SEND pupil in a SEND school in Sheffield for a full-time position starting in September, with potential to lead to a longer-term role.

This specialist school caters for students aged 7-16 (Year 3 to Year 11) with autism diagnoses, where kindness, care, and self-belief form the foundation of learning. The school creates an immersive, play-based learning environment where student happiness is prioritized, and expert staff adapt teaching to ensure students are engaged without realizing they’re learning. Through challenge-based learning that considers each student’s developmental stage, the school provides a safe, stimulating, and secure environment where learning thrives.

Assignment Details

This role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, starting in September and continuing for the academic year.

Person Specification

• Team teach trained
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs, behavioural difficulties, or similar challenges
• GCSEs or equivalent Level 2 in Maths and English
• Resilience, patience, and a strong commitment to helping young learners succeed
• Experience delivering small group support or intervention
• Have a current DBS on the update service or be willing to provide a new one
