Connex Education is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants to work across a range of thriving academies and maintained primary schools in South Gloucestershire. We are looking for passionate and committed individuals who can make a positive impact in EYFS, KS1 and KS2 classrooms, including those with experience supporting children with SEND. Roles can vary to suit your needs, with flexible day-to-day, part-time, and full-time long-term opportunities available.
The Role
- Support teaching and learning across primary age groups
- Work flexibly across a network of supportive academies and maintained primary schools in South Gloucestershire
- Provide classroom support to teachers and pupils
- Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions where required
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Adapt confidently to different classroom settings
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working within UK primary schools or with children in an educational setting
- A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for helping children achieve their potential
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the classroom
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Relevant qualifications or training are desirable but not essential
