We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support across the English Department supporting students beginning ASAP. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group academic support for GCSE English students
- Help students develop effective study skills and revision strategies
- Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning experiences
- Provide additional learning resources and academic guidance
- Monitor student progress and report back to lead teachers
- Create a supportive and motivational learning environment
Essential Requirements
- Strong academic background with good GCSE or A-Level results
- Excellent communication skills
- Patience and ability to work with teenagers
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check required
- Ability to provide constructive and positive academic support
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience working with GCSE-age students
- Subject specialism in English
- Additional teaching or mentoring experience
- Understanding of current GCSE curriculum
Successful candidates will be required to conduct an interview and complete a vetting process which includes an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS.
