Are you a passionate Sports Coach looking to transfer your skills into a rewarding school-based role? We are currently recruiting Sports Coaches to work as Cover Supervisors across a large network of secondary schools in Swindon and the surrounding areas from September 2026. This role is ideal for individuals with coaching experience who are confident leading groups of young people and looking to gain valuable classroom experience within secondary education.
As a Sports Coach / Cover Supervisor, you will lead PE lessons during teacher absences as well as supervise and deliver pre-planned learning across a variety of other subjects throughout the school day. Placements are available on both a short-term and long-term basis, with opportunities to work within one school or across multiple settings.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver and supervise PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Lead pre-planned lessons in a range of secondary subjects during teacher absences
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
- Encourage student participation, engagement, and confidence
- Support schools in maintaining continuity of learning throughout the school day
- Follow safeguarding, behaviour, and health & safety policies at all times
- Competitive daily rates paid weekly via PAYE
- Flexible opportunities across one or multiple secondary schools
