About the Role
Connex Education Partnership is looking for Secondary SEND Teachers to work across specialist SEND schools and provisions in Swindon and the surrounding areas.
If you’re a teacher who enjoys adapting learning, building strong relationships and finding different ways to help young people succeed, we’d love to hear from you.
You may teach across a range of specialist settings, working with smaller groups and personalised programmes designed around individual pupils.
The Pupils
You could support young people with:
Autism / ASC | SEMH | ADHD | SLD | PMLD | Communication needs | Sensory needs | Complex learning needs | Physical or medical needs
Pupils may require additional support with learning, communication, behaviour, emotional regulation or independence.
Your Role
- Deliver engaging, accessible secondary lessons
- Adapt learning to individual needs
- Build positive relationships with pupils
- Use practical and creative teaching approaches
- Support behaviour and emotional regulation
- Encourage confidence and independence
- Track progress and adapt provision
- Work alongside Teaching Assistants and specialist staff
What We’re Looking For
- QTS is essential
- Secondary teaching experience
- SEND experience is desirable
- Ability to differentiate and personalise learning
- Strong classroom management skills
- A flexible, patient and creative approach
Experience in specialist SEND schools or alternative provision is advantageous.
