About the Role / Setting
As a PE Teacher, you will deliver purposeful and engaging Physical Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Connex Education partners with secondary schools across Sheffield that are focused on positive outcomes, supportive learning environments and strong relationships between staff and students. The schools are looking for dependable, adaptable teachers who can contribute confidently to both the department and the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach high-quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with curriculum expectations.
- Create an inclusive classroom and sporting environment where students feel motivated to participate.
- Track student progress and support individuals to achieve their potential.
- Manage behaviour effectively while maintaining clear and consistent expectations.
- Take full responsibility for your allocated timetable and wider classroom teacher duties.
- Contribute positively to the wider school community.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Recent experience teaching PE within a UK secondary school setting.
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, inclusive and appropriately challenging lessons.
- A current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Ability to satisfy safer recruitment and pre-employment checks.
