The Role

As an Early Years Teacher, you’ll help create the foundations for children’s future learning by developing their confidence, curiosity, independence and enthusiasm for school. Depending on the placement, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, curriculum-led learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Establish a positive, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
  • Support children’s academic, social and emotional development
  • Build strong and positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
  • Monitor children’s progress and contribute to ongoing assessment
  • Take full classroom responsibility during longer-term placements

For day-to-day supply assignments, lesson planning is not typically required, with schools providing the necessary resources and guidance to help you deliver a successful day.

Assignment Details

We have both full-time and part-time opportunities available throughout the academic year. Assignments may include:

Many schools are accessible through local transport links, although having access to your own transport may be beneficial depending on the location of individual assignments.

What We’re Looking For

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage in a UK primary school setting
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Be confident delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences
  • Have a good understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
  • Have the Right to Work in the UK
