Connex Education is partnering with SEND schools in Tonteg, RCT to recruit dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistants. While direct experience in special educational needs is not essential, a strong understanding of learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and/or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges is highly advantageous. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in mainstream education or those who have experience in care or support roles.

As a Teaching Assistant in a SEND school, we’re seeking adaptable individuals who are confident working across all Key Stages. You should be enthusiastic about supporting a wide range of curriculum activities and encouraging pupils to engage in enriching, hands-on experiences. The ideal candidate will provide consistent support while also challenging learners appropriately to foster meaningful progress and personal development.

Person specification:
- Aged 19 and over
- C or above in Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
- Care / Support Worker Background
- DBS for Child and Adult on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
- EWC registered
