SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Lichfield WS13
Salary: £90 – £120 per day (Depending on Hours and Experience)

About the role

Connex Education is delighted to be working in partnership with schools across Lichfield to recruit SEND Teaching Assistants and Carers. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with experience in education, health, or care—or for graduates passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Our partner schools cater to pupils with a wide range of needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, sensory needs, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. These inclusive, nurturing settings are committed to providing a supportive environment where every child can thrive.

We are seeking compassionate, patient, and resilient individuals who can offer both educational and personal care support, helping pupils develop independence, confidence, and life skills.

Assignment Details

  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school or similar care/education setting
  • Willingness to provide personal care where necessary
  • Confident and calm when working with challenging behaviour
  • A compassionate, patient, and resilient attitude
  • A current DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education
