Connex Educationare working and supporting an educational organisation in Middlesbrough who are seeking someone who is an ambitious tutor to join their learning support team on a long-term basis.

About the School/Organisation:
The educational organisation caters for pupils with a range of educational needs and who have learning difficulties who are functioning below age-related expectations, including SEMH, while offering a diverse curriculum to allow each child to reach their goals. As a SEND Teacher you will be supporting children in an engaging environment to focus on their academic studies, in addition to empowering them to become respectful and tolerant members of the community. They are looking for a SEND Teacher who is hard-working, resilient and who wants to make a difference in children’s lives.
Assignment Details:
The position requires you to work with looked after students on a 1:1 basis with their academic studies, full time Monday – Friday 8:30am-4pm from September 2025 up to £152 per day.
It is important that you are comfortable and experienced working/supporting young people with varied special educational needs as many of the pupils you support will have SEND / SEMH.

As a successful SEND Teacher with Connex Education Partnership, you will possess:
- Hold a QTS Qualification
- Have experience working with individuals with SEN
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Confident in your behaviour management skills
- Calm, resilient and able to communicate well with young people
- Hold a current DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one through Connex
- Be able to show proof of work in the UK
- Willing to travel between schools to provide onsite teaching support if needed
