Connex Education is seeking an exceptional and passionate SEN Teacher to join a dedicated team. You will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored lessons that meet the diverse needs of our students, working collaboratively with support staff, families, and external agencies to ensure every child receives the individualised education they deserve.
This educational organisation supports pupils with diverse learning difficulties functioning below age‑related expectations, including SEMH needs. They provide a varied curriculum tailored to help each child achieve individual goals. As a SEND Teacher, you’ll work in an engaging environment supporting both academic development and social‑emotional growth, helping students become respectful community members. The role requires a hardworking, resilient educator committed to making a positive impact on vulnerable children’s lives through personalised learning approaches.
Assignment Details:
- Full‑time position starting January 2026, providing one‑to‑one academic support to looked‑after students.
- Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑4 pm – this could be up to five days but initially three days.
Essential requirement: comfort and experience working with young people who have varied special educational needs, particularly SEND/SEMH. The role demands expertise in supporting vulnerable students with diverse learning challenges through individualised teaching approaches.

As a successful SEND Teacher with Connex Education Partnership, you will possess:
- Hold a QTS Qualification
- Have experience working with individuals with SEN
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Confident in your behaviour management skills
- Calm, resilient and able to communicate well with young people
- Hold a current DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one through Connex
- Be able to show proof of work in the UK
- Willing to travel between schools to provide onsite teaching support if needed
