About the Role
Are you an enthusiastic Secondary Teacher looking for flexible and rewarding teaching opportunities from September 2026? Connex Education is recruiting qualified secondary teachers, including ECTs and experienced teachers, for a variety of long-term and short-term placements across Stroud and surrounding areas secondary schools. You’ll have the opportunity to inspire and support students across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons while making a real impact in local secondary schools. You may work across a range of subjects and school settings, giving you the chance to broaden your experience, develop your classroom practice, and build strong relationships with students and staff. Working as a secondary teacher offers a rewarding and varied career where no two days are the same. You’ll play a key role in helping young people achieve academically, develop confidence, and prepare for their future pathways. This role is ideal for teachers who enjoy creating engaging lessons, adapting to different learning needs, and contributing positively to school communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment that encourages confidence, curiosity and positive behaviour.
- Differentiating learning activities to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.
- Use creative and practical teaching approaches to make learning enjoyable and meaningful.
- Assess, mark and provide feedback to support and improve student progress.
- Build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents/carers to support student development and wellbeing.
- Follow school policies relating to behaviour management, safeguarding and attendance.
- Contribute to the wider school community, including tutor responsibilities, school events and extracurricular activities where appropriate.

Person Specification
- QTS preferred, although strong secondary teaching experience will also be considered.
- A passion for promoting equality, inclusion and diversity in education.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.

- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
