Connex Education are working with a successful secondary school based in Corby Glenn, Lincolnshire, part of a large and supportive trust with schools across Lincolnshire. The school has approximately 251 pupils, providing a small, close‑kin learning environment.

Assignment Details

This is a full‑time Science Teacher role with a preference for Physics specialists, though Science specialists will also be considered. The role is to cover sickness and could be short- or long-term, depending on the length of absence. You will be teaching pupils aged 11–16, with full planning and marking expected. Due to the school’s rural location, access to a car would be advantageous.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification
  • Be a Physics specialist or a strong Science specialist
  • Have experience teaching Science at secondary level
  • Confidently manage classroom behaviour
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Be willing to engage in ongoing professional development
  • Work well under pressure and adapt quickly
  • Be enthusiastic, motivated, and positive
  • Be able to commute to Corby Glenn and surrounding areas
