We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming Reception class team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the early years of children’s education.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities to Reception-aged children
- Provide personal care assistance, including toileting, changing, and hygiene support
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
- Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development
- Assist with classroom preparation, displays, and resource management
- Work with individual children and small groups to reinforce learning
- Maintain accurate records and observations of children’s progress
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with young children, ideally in an educational setting
- Willingness and ability to provide personal care with sensitivity and professionalism
- Patient, warm, and approachable manner
- Good communication skills with children, staff, and parents
- Commitment to rectifying safeguarding and child protection
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
