Connex Education is recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist primary school in Alvechurch. This full-time role will involve supporting a small group of three Reception-aged children with Special Educational Needs. We are looking for a confident, nurturing Teaching Assistant with strong SEN experience who can provide consistent support, build positive relationships, and help children settle into their school journey. The school offers a caring, structured environment where children are encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally through personalised support.
The Role
- Provide dedicated support to a small group of three Reception pupils with SEN.
- Deliver tailored learning and play-based activities to meet individual needs.
- Promote communication, independence and positive behaviour.
- Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN is essential.
- Experience working with EYFS or Reception-aged children is highly desirable.
- A patient, resilient and caring approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Full-time availability, Monday to Friday.
