Connex Education is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to support a range of secondary schools across the Reading area from September 2026.
With both short-term and long-term opportunities available, this role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, or anyone looking to build a rewarding career within education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and on task while following pre-planned lesson materials.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Supervising classes across a range of secondary school subjects.
- Delivering pre-planned lesson activities and instructions provided by teaching staff.
- Maintaining positive behaviour and creating a productive learning environment.
- Encouraging student participation and engagement throughout lessons.
- Following school policies, safeguarding procedures, and classroom expectations.

What We're Looking For
- Experience working with young people in any setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence managing groups of students within a classroom environment.
- A reliable, adaptable, and proactive approach to work.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
