Pay: £93–£110 per day PAYE

Connex Education Partnership is looking for dedicated and compassionate Primary SEN Teaching Assistants to work across schools within the Bath & Wells Multi-Academy Trust.
We are particularly interested in hearing from Teaching Assistants who are available full-time and have previous experience working within a school, nursery, education setting or directly with primary-aged children.
Whether you have extensive SEN experience or are looking to build on your existing experience supporting children, we would love to hear from you.
The Role
As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and wider school teams to support pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing.
Depending on the setting and individual needs of the pupils, your responsibilities may include:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs
- Supporting pupils to access the curriculum and participate in classroom activities
- Working with children with a range of SEN needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties and learning difficulties
- Supporting pupils with communication, social and emotional development
- Helping children develop their confidence, independence and life skills
- Assisting with classroom activities and learning interventions
- Supporting positive behaviour and creating a safe, inclusive learning environment
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals
- Providing encouragement, reassurance and consistent support throughout the school day
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience working in a school, nursery, education or childcare setting, or have relevant experience working with primary-aged children
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Be patient, resilient, caring and adaptable
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be confident working as part of a wider school team
- Be willing to support pupils with a range of individual needs
- Ideally have experience working with SEN, although this is not essential for all opportunities
Full-time availability is preferred, however, part-time applicants are encouraged to apply and will be considered depending on school requirements.
