About the role

Connex Education is seeking to appoint a Maths Teacher who brings strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students while also demonstrating patience, resilience, and compassion that are central to our school ethos. Our pupils benefit from small classes, personalised teaching, and a nurturing environment where they feel safe, respected, and able to thrive. The role starts ASAP and is a long‑term booking, potentially running until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, tailored to small groups and individual needs.
  • Differentiating teaching to support students with social, emotional, and special educational needs (SEN).
  • Create a safe, nurturing classroom that promotes confidence, curiosity, and positive behaviour.
  • Use creative and practical approaches to make Science meaningful and enjoyable.
  • Assess, mark, and provide regular feedback to track and improve student progress.

Role Requirements

  • QTS – Qualified Teaching Status
  • Previous experience working in Education is essential
  • A commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the classroom
  • An understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education
