With the surge in demand for part-time and full-time teachers from the beginning of the new year, Connex Education are seeking ECTs who are available to cover teaching bookings in Crosby, Formby, Southport and Lydiate.
Connex Education have a long-standing tradition of creating a platform for early career teachers to gain invaluable teaching experience and we are currently seeking ECTs for various primary supply roles starting in February/March 2026. As an ECT, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in multiple primary schools around the Sefton area, while at the same time, Connex will be able to put your CV forward for potential long-term teaching roles that will support your induction.
About the Schools
Connex Education work in partnership with multiple primary schools around the North Sefton area. The schools generally require day-to-day sickness cover, part-time cover (half-days or 3 days per week), and long-term bookings to cover permanent/temporary vacancies.
About the role
Whether you are seeking short-term placements, long-term roles, or simply looking to gain experience across different schools, we have opportunities to suit your needs. The following are the type of bookings that will be available for you:
- PPA cover for full days and half-days.
- Daily sickness and course cover.
- Part-time job-share bookings.
- Full-time teaching bookings to cover sickness, maternity etc.
- Termly bookings to support ECT induction.
- SATS and Phonics intervention roles.
- TA Cover: provide general support or 1:1 support.

Qualifications and requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status or awaiting QTS.
- Proof of right to work in the UK.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong classroom management.
- Experience teaching in primary schools or on placements.
- DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through us.
- Ability to provide 2 references.
