About the Role
Connex Education is working with a number of primary schools across Derby City Centre and the wider DE1 area who are looking to recruit Supply Teaching Assistants to support on a flexible basis. There is currently consistent demand across local schools, with opportunities available immediately and continuing throughout the summer term. You will be supporting across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, helping pupils stay engaged, build confidence, and access learning within a supportive classroom environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson activities and classroom routines
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement within lessons
- Helping pupils remain focused and involved throughout the school day

Person Specification
- Recent UK-based experience working with children (school-based preferred)
