About the Role
- Permanent position, term time only (39 weeks per year)
- 37 hours per week
- Start date of 1st September 2026
- Working as part of the school’s dedicated Student Support Team
- Supporting students, staff and parents to quickly resolve issues relating to behaviour, attendance and welfare
- Taking a lead role in supporting students whose behaviour presents a significant barrier to their own success
- Acting as a Key Worker for some of the school’s most vulnerable students
- Promoting positive behaviour and helping students engage successfully with their education
- Supporting the school’s commitment to maintaining a calm, safe and productive learning environment
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams and external agencies where required
- Building positive relationships with students to encourage attendance, wellbeing and academic success

Person Specification
To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of working with children or young people in an educational, pastoral, youth work or support setting.
- The ability to build positive and professional relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
- Experience of supporting students with behavioural, attendance or welfare-related needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and rapport‑building skills.
- The ability to remain calm, resilient and professional when dealing with challenging situations.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential.
- Full enhanced DBS certificate.
- Completion of the Connex Education Onboarding Process.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- A minimum of 2 professional references.
