About the Role
Connex Education are recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Nottingham supporting children and young people with a wide range of complex learning needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, highly differentiated lessons that are tailored to the individual needs, abilities and learning styles of each pupil. You will work closely with experienced support staff and other professionals to create an accessible, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
The school places a strong emphasis on communication, independence, resilience and preparing pupils for adulthood, with learning designed to develop both academic progress and essential life skills.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teacher, or a mainstream teacher with a strong interest in special education, who is passionate about making learning accessible, building positive relationships and helping every young person reach their full potential.

Person Specification
To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:
- Holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) proven by providing your Teacher Reference Number
- Experience of working as a teacher in a British curriculum school for a minimum of two terms since obtaining QTS.
- Full enhanced DBS certificate
- Completion of the Connex Education Onboarding Process
- The ability to show a genuine desire and passion for working as a teacher.
- A minimum of 2 school-based references
Desired But Not Essential
Previous experience teaching pupils with SEND or adapting lessons to meet a range of additional learning needs, would be highly advantageous.
