About the Role

  • Full time Maths Teacher position starting in September.
  • Teaching Maths within a secondary school setting.
  • Planning and delivering engaging and structured lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential.
  • Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress to inform teaching and learning.
  • Setting challenging learning objectives and high expectations for all students.
  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND, EAL and high prior attainers.
  • Creating a positive and purposeful learning environment that promotes high standards of behaviour and achievement.
  • Using a range of assessment strategies to monitor progress and support student development.

Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
  • Experience of teaching Business Studies, or relevant curriculum subjects, within a British curriculum secondary school setting.
  • A secure knowledge and understanding of the Business Studies curriculum.
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A commitment to raising standards and improving outcomes for all students.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues and external professionals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
  • Full enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Completion of the Connex Education Onboarding Process.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting young people to succeed.
  • A minimum of 2 school-based references.
