We are recruiting an experienced PMLD Teaching Assistant to work full-time within a specialist educational setting supporting pupils from EYFS through to Post-16. The school provides a nurturing, inclusive environment for children and young people with complex learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and additional needs.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils with PMLD throughout the school day.
- Assist with personal care, feeding, and mobility where required.
- Support learning activities both in and out of the classroom.
- Promote independence, communication, and wellbeing.
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to meet pupils' individual needs.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with PMLD.
- Experience providing personal care.
- Ability to provide references from your most recent school setting or agency.
- Enhanced DBS on the Adult and Child Workforce, or willingness to obtain one.
