Connex Education are working with a secondary school in Durham and we are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated DT teacher to support the Technology Department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality DT lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students from September 2026.

Person Specification:

  • Must be 21 and over.
  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
  • PGCE in DT or related subject from a recognized provider.
  • You must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
  • Have experience teaching DT in a UK secondary school setting.
  • Be able to plan and deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 DT lessons across ability ranges.
  • Have excellent behaviour management and class-based control skills.
