About the Role

Connex Education are recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified English Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Newark on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting students to develop their literacy, analytical and communication skills, and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment. Planning, marking and assessment will be required as part of the role, alongside contributing to the wider life of the English department and school. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified English Teacher who is passionate about their subject, has strong classroom management skills and can inspire students to achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching English at secondary level and be confident delivering the English curriculum through to GCSE.

About You

To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:

• Holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) proven by providing your Teacher Reference Number
• Experience of working as a teacher in a British curriculum school for a minimum of two terms since obtaining QTS.
• Full enhanced DBS certificate
• Completion of the Connex Education Onboarding Process
• The ability to show a genuine desire and passion for working as a teacher.
• A minimum of 2 school based references
