About the Role
Connex Education is delighted to be working exclusively alongside a respected Multi Academy Trust to recruit passionate ECTs and experienced Primary Teachers for opportunities starting in September 2026. We are currently supporting a number of friendly and inclusive primary schools across Bridgwater (Somerset + North Somerset), with roles available on both a short-term and long-term basis. Some placements may run through until Christmas, while others could continue for the full academic year ending in July 2027. This is a brilliant opportunity for enthusiastic teachers who are looking to further their career in supportive school settings that place a strong emphasis on creativity, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Adapt learning activities to support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
- Create a positive and nurturing classroom environment that encourages confidence and good behaviour
- Use creative and interactive teaching methods to make learning enjoyable and accessible for all pupils
- Mark work, assess progress, and provide constructive feedback to support pupil achievement
- Build positive working relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to promote learning and wellbeing
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, although strong primary teaching experience will also be considered
- A passionate and engaging teaching style
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the classroom
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education
