Connex Education is working with a popular Secondary School in Darlington who are recruiting for a Music Teacher to work full-time as soon as possible.

The school is very popular within Darlington and is currently looking for someone who shares their passion for education to carry out Music lessons for key stages 3 and 4. The school offers a friendly atmosphere with a motivated team of teachers focused on student progress. They are looking for a Music Teacher who is hard working, resilient and who wants to make a difference to pupils' education. The right candidate will be able to confidently step into the department and continue teaching the existing schemes of work.

Person Specification

  • Must be 21 and over.
  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or PGCE in Music or related subject from a recognized provider.
  • You must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
  • Have experience teaching Music in a UK secondary school setting.
  • Be able to plan and deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 Music lessons across ability ranges.
  • Be passionate about instilling a love of Music.
  • Have excellent behaviour management and classroom control skills.
