About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Mathematics Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school community on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator to make a real impact on students’ mathematical understanding and achievement.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Plan, prepare and assess student progress in line with the national curriculum
- Support students in achieving their full potential in mathematics
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and create a positive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with the mathematics department and wider school community
- Contribute to extra-curricular activities and school life
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)– Essential
- Degree in Mathematics or related subject
- Experience teaching mathematics at secondary level
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to raising standards and student achievement
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with GCSE Mathematics curriculum
- Knowledge of current educational initiatives
- Additional qualifications in education or mathematics
