About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join a fantastic primary school located in the Childwall area of Liverpool. This school is looking to appoint 2 x SEN TAs on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday, 8:30-3:30). Experience with SEN is essential, particularly ASD/ADHD. One role will be based in Year 5 and the other will be in KS1. There will be opportunities for permanent recruitment available for the successful candidate.

Person Specification
Qualifications- Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will also be considered.
- GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both) or equivalent Level 2.
- Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
- Experience in KS1/2.
- Experience working with SEN pupils on a 1:1 basis.
- Builds positive, supportive relationships with pupils and staff to support teaching & learning.
- Upholds high standards of professional behaviour, presentation, and integrity.
- Committed to maintaining consistency in learning and behaviour expectations.
- Open to professional development and constructive feedback.
- Demonstrates strong literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
- Works collaboratively within classroom routines, showing initiative and professionalism.
- Adapts to pupils’ varying needs and supports inclusion.
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and consistency when supporting pupils of varying needs and abilities.
- Reliable, well-presented, and committed to confidentiality and ongoing development.
- Sound understanding of classroom roles, routines, and expectations, and how to contribute effectively to these.
- Observant and reflective, able to recognise and respond to changes in behaviour or wellbeing.
