Level 3 Early Years Practitioner – Nursery (Term-Time Only) Location: Islington Salary: £475 – £525 per week (dependent on experience & qualifications) Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only Working Hours: 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM, Monday to Friday Start Date: September 2025 Applicants must have the right to work in the UK About the Role Connex Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Islington to recruit a Level 3 Qualified Early Years Practitioner to join their Nursery team. This is a term-time only position, working full-time hours within the school day. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the learning, development, and care of children in the early years setting, working closely with the Nursery Teacher and wider EYFS team to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for all children. Key Responsibilities Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum through engaging and child-centred activities Provide a warm, caring, and structured environment where children can thrive Observe, assess, and contribute to planning for individual learning journeys Promote positive interactions, behaviour, and communication Work closely with parents, carers, and colleagues to support children’s development Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, welfare, and hygiene are maintained Assignment Details Term-time only (school holidays off) Full-time role , Monday to Friday Working hours: 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM Based in a school nursery setting with a supportive team Person Specification Level 3 Early Years Qualification – essential Experience working with Nursery or early years-aged children Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework A nurturing, enthusiastic, and flexible approach Strong team player with good communication skills A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Why Join Connex Education?
