Connex Education are supporting a mainstream primary school in Leeds in appointing an SEN Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis.

This welcoming Primary school is in the LS9 area provides an inclusive and nurturing learning environment. The staff and parents work together closely to ensure each child achieves their full potential. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting a KS1 class and working 1:1 with a child with autism. The school is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant who is able to help create an engaging learning environment for pupils.

Assignment details

This role is a long-term assignment starting February (ASAP) 2026 until July 2026. It is a full-time position with the start times of 8.30-15.30 term time only.

Person Specification

  • Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to provide a new one.
  • Have Maths and English to GCSE Grade C or equivalent.
  • Hold previous experience of working with children and young people.
  • Have experience of supporting pupils with SEN needs.
