Connex Education are supporting a mainstream Secondary school in north Leeds in appointing a History & Geography specialist for a September start on a part time basis.

The school is based in northern Leeds and is commutable by car and public transport. The school is a large coeducational comprehensive secondary school. It is a thriving, successful and energetic place with a very unique ‘family’ feel. Although it is a large school, they pride themselves on knowing the students really well and their caring and nurturing ethos ensures every student feels safe, secure and happy. The truly committed staff work endlessly to get to know the students as individuals. Staff also empathise with the challenges that day-to-day secondary education sometimes presents for students as well as recognising and celebrating success.

The role is on a part time basis 3 days per week for the whole academic year.

Assignment details

The role is part time long term role for 12 months. You will be required to undertake the full responsibilities and timetable of a full time teacher.

Person Specification

  • Have experience of working in a classroom environment or similar setting.
  • Have a History or Geography specialism.
  • Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to provide a new one.
  • Have QTS.
